Preschool Assistant Teachers

The Brotherhood Synagogue Nursery School is looking for assistant teachers to join our staff beginning late August 2021. The ideal applicants should have experience working with children 2-5 years old. Applicants should be team players and demonstrate flexibility, energy, patience, a sense of humor, initiative, spontaneity, and enthusiasm.

Our programs are based upon the child development model where children’s learning through play is emphasized. Utilizing a constructivist methodology, arts, literacy, mathematics, science, dramatic play, music, movement, and cooking are integrated throughout the day. Seamlessly, Jewish values, traditions and holidays are woven into each day.
• 2’s assistant: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30 – 12:30
• 3’s assistant: Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 2:00
The Brotherhood Synagogue Nursery School is housed in an historic building on Gramercy Park.
